The college was established in 1967 for providing technical manpower initially in the fields of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Since then the college has continuously evolved to meet the changes in the field of engineering. Undergraduate Courses in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Engineering besides two postgraduate courses in the fields of Foundation Engineering and Industrial Engineering have also been introduced. The College of Engineering is the only Govt. engineering college offering full time and part-time courses.
